About me
My name is Demian Blok, a technical game designer passionate about creating the mechanics and systems that make a game fun to play. Things I’ve worked on include player movement, combat, enemy AI, animation-driven systems and feature ownership on single-player action games. Looking for an internship from September 2027.
Alongside my studies I work as a sales manager for Trust Marketing, leading a team selling charity subscriptions. Years of pitching and training new reps have made me a lot more comfortable presenting my work, pitching ideas and taking feedback professionally.
Outside of university I love working on personal game projects, to develop my skills further and pick up new experience. Playing guitar and making music has been an important part of my life since I was five years old, and helps me refuel my creativity.
Currently, I’m working on a physics-based goofy party fighter on the side, aiming to release it on Steam to go through the full release process of a commercial game and learn how to build physics-based character controllers.
